Sam Lautman-Pauc is famed for battling the elements to kitesurf across the English Channel in the record breaking time of 1 hour 51 minutes.

For Sam, Kitesurfing is a release, a break from normal life and opportunity to escape and express himself in a way that nothing else in life can match. Having come from a surfing and power kite background, Sam knew he had found his sport when he discovered Kitesurfing.

This year Sam is setting his sights on a new extreme challenge in the form of the "Volvo Cold Water Project". Kitesurfing around the British isle, Sam hopes to showcase the beauty and power of the coastlines whilst promoting the sport to a wider audience. Sam is currently in training around various areas of the British Isles, and Quba Sails will be supporting him on his journey with a supply of warm clothing and a customized X10 Jacket to help him endure the British winter weather.
