About Quba
Design
Our classic tees will prove themselves indispensable, whether worn with shorts in summer or used as handy layering pieces in cooler weather. Shaped for a comfortable, easy fit, all Quba t-shirts are given a gently 'lived-in' look and soft handle by pre-washing and brushing processes. Taking inspiration from our coastal surroundings, the design team chooses colours that reflect the salt-bleached, sun-washed hues we see every day; many of our short-sleeved tees also feature graphics designed in-house, some based on the registration codes of the Salcombe fishing fleet, others suggested by typefaces and images used on vintage nautical packaging.
Production
Each t-shirt undergoes a series of pre-treatments, from careful laundering to brushing and (in some cases) special fading techniques; we recently added a further step to the manufacturing process to ensure that all our jersey garments are now double-laundered for softness. Produced to Quba's exact specifications, each tee is carefully constructed and then enhanced with our signature detail; the vintage-inspired graphics are hand-painted by two highly talented artists. Every garment is then checked for quality before being packaged and sold.
Materials
We source the best quality cotton for our tees; having been through our rigorous pre-laundering and brushing processes, each garment must achieve the highest standards of softness and comfort. As ever, Quba detailing gives each t-shirt its own individual character; graphics and embroidered motifs are all designed in-house and produced with great care.
