About Quba
Design
Practical and easy to wear, Quba hoodies and sweat tops remain a modern wardrobe essential. Designed for a comfortable, easy fit, our hoodies and sweats come in a wide spectrum of seasonal colours, pre-washed for softness and a gently 'lived-in' look. Many feature hand-painted graphics, for which the design team drew inspiration from typefaces and images used on vintage nautical packaging. Available in several styles, such as pull-on, zip-fastening or smock, these useful, comfortable garments will continue to improve with age.
Production
Each of our hoodies and sweat tops must undergo a series of pre-treatments, from careful laundering to brushing and (in some cases) special fading techniques; we recently added a further step to the manufacturing process to ensure that all our jersey garments are now double-laundered for softness. Produced to our designers' exact specifications, each garment is carefully constructed and then enhanced with just the right amount of detailing. Every garment is then checked for quality, before being packaged and sold.
Materials
Finding the best quality cotton and cotton-blend jersey for our hoodies and sweats is of the utmost importance. Having been through our rigorous pre-laundering and brushing processes, each garment must achieve the highest standards of softness and comfort, whether it is a heavyweight jersey winter sweat or a lighter, looser-fitting smock-style hoodie. As ever, subtle detailing lifts these garments out of the ordinary; tiny appliquéd logo patches on hood drawstrings, horn buttons, leather zip pulls and embroidered motifs are all designed in-house and sourced carefully, while original vintage-style graphics are created for us by two highly talented artists.
