About Quba
Design
Soft and comfortable, premium quality jersey is the perfect choice for Quba's classic casual wear. Cut to patterns that produce relaxed, flattering pieces, all the jersey fabrics used in these designs have a gently 'lived-in' look and exceptionally soft handle, thanks to special pre-washing and brushing processes. Each jersey piece complements the full Quba ladies' wear range, sharing the same salt-bleached, sun-washed colour-palette and vintage-inspired nautical detailing. Designed to earn their keep, every piece can be worn in a number of ways. For example, a soft tee or duofold Henley can be layered under knits in cooler weather; with the return of sunnier days, stay comfortable in fresh, pastel-hued polos or a flattering vest.
Production
Each garment undergoes a series of pre-treatments, from careful laundering to brushing and (in some cases) special fading techniques; we recently added a further step to the manufacturing process to ensure that all our jersey garments are now double-laundered for softness. Produced to Quba's exact specifications, each piece is carefully constructed and then enhanced with our signature detail; the vintage-inspired graphics are originally hand-painted by two highly talented artists. Every garment is then checked for quality before being packaged and sold.
Materials
We source the best quality cotton for our jersey pieces; having been through our rigorous pre-laundering and brushing processes, each garment must achieve the highest standards of softness and comfort. As ever, Quba detailing gives each garment its own individual character, from appliqué and embroidery to original prints and hand-drawn graphics; all are designed in-house and produced with great care.
