Quba is a fashion brand whose routes lie in British Nautical Heritage. Currently in its 10th year and with recent Investment, Quba is on the cusp of a large retail expansion program.
We are currently looking to recruit a Financial Director who is ambitious and driven, rigorous and thorough who is looking for an opportunity to grow with the Company and help take it to the next level. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take a key role and be involved in the direction and growth of an expanding business.
The successful candidate will have full responsibility in shaping the financial team and play a key part in the overall management of the business.
Your key focus is to manage the finances of the Company and responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a finance team
- Setting Budgets and Strategic Financial Objectives
- Ensure there is sufficient funds in the business to support growth and manage bank relationships
- To produce accurate reports and KPI’s
- Work with merchandising team to manage the flow of stock into the business, set retail prices etc.
- To be responsible for the flow of information and data including an effective IT infrastructure.
- Salary is dependant on experience
- The position will be based at our Head Office premises in Devon
You will report directly to the MD and be at the very heart of the management of the business. The successful candidate would have a broad commercial sense and be asked for their views in many different aspects of the business.
Previous experience within the fashion retail sector is beneficial but not essential.

Retail Operations Manager

We are currently looking to recruit a Retail Operations Manager who is ambitious and driven, rigorous and thorough. This is a great role for anyone who is looking for an opportunity to grow with the Company and help take it to the next level. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take a key role and be involved in the direction and growth of an expanding retail business. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for shaping the retail side of the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- 1. Responsible for driving the ‘like for like’ growth of Retail Sales and Margin to hit agreed Budget targets.
- 2. Co-ordinate the opening of new stores – including planning, executing and deliver results.
- 3. Being fully responsible for retail operations within stores and head office
- 4. Building, developing and motivating a successful sales team, recruitment and staff training.
- 5. To ensure all stores are fully stocked and merchandised to Quba standards to achieve sales.
- Salary Dependant on experience
You will report directly to the MD and be at the very heart of the management of the business. The ideally candidate will have previous retail experience at management level, a broad commercial sense and a focus to drive sales and deliver results.
We are a growing company so the successful applicant must play an active role and lead from the front. We are looking for someone who can really understand the strengths and weakness of each store then action improvements that have a direct impact on sales.
